Say Hello To......
Hello all! It's your friendly neighborhood Dragon lover, here to share a trailer of sorts for all the mysteries I hope to begin sharing this year. I have long been a lover of reading, and as a result, a lover of writing too. While most of the books on my lengthy TBR are fantasy, my first love was Mysteries. Specifically teen mystery novels. I can never resist the pull of a group of clever young friends solving mysteries together, set in a time before smartphones and the internet took over, and when everybody seemed just a little more grown up. When people still had adventures outside. Stories like these hold a very special place in my heart, and I long to capture the same feelings with my mystery series. And being in possession of a highly active imagination, I have created quite a few such series. (Not all, but some of my series do involve murders from time to time, though they will never be on page or graphic).
So say hello to…..
The Carters
Belle and Luke Lockhart feel like their world is falling apart. Their mother is dead, their father has been arrested, and they have nowhere to go. That is until the police officer working their case asks a friend to foster them. The Carter family is nothing but kind to Belle and Luke, but do they really belong amongst this happy family when they come from so much sadness? And what will happen when they discover their mother's death wasnt an accident?
These characters have come a long way from where they started, being the oldest OC's of my and @julietterosewarden's making. (Only one of them is her's, the rest are mine). After trying many different things and failing, i decided to start them off as one of my teen mystery series. I love this family, y'all. Belle and Luke are twins that find themselves in the midst of a big foster family, unsure of where they fit in, and yearning to solve the murder of their mother. This series has a big cast, with Belle and Luke as the main characters and their four foster siblings as supporting characters in the first book, and later delving into the lives of each of the Carter siblings as you watch them grow up, find love, and help each other solve problems (and mysteries 😉).
This series also has two spin-offs planned that i may introduce at a later time.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Faith Stone Mysteries
Faith Stone lives and breathes mystery novels. She's read all the Library has to offer and still craves more. She loves the plot twists and clues, and feeling like she is solving the case right alongside these paper detectives. So what is she to do when a real mystery lands practically on her doorstep? Solve it, of course. With the help of her triplet siblings, Kailey and Peter, watch as this clever trio become the detectives they've dreamed to be their whole lives.
Quite a few of my mystery series start out as just a name that I think would make for a cool detective, and the series takes on a life of its own from there. For whatever reason, the state of Maine is very intriguing to me, and it seemed like the perfect setting for this series. So it is filled with beaches, mysterious lighthouses, and 90's/early 2000's vibes. It also very much has a spring vibe to me, (the idea was sparked in this pretty pastel season a few years ago, and whenever it comes around, I start itching to write it). Faith is one of my favorite detectives. She's possibly the most relatable (in my opinion). She's ambitious, quirky, and sometimes a little naive. She's mediocre at a lot of things she wishes she was good at, and wishes that book characters were real.
Cross-Country Cases
Best friends Julie Hart and Lindsay Ryder have planned since they were kids to one day travel America together, and that dream becomes reality when Julie is picked as a winner in a raffle she never thought she'd win. But things dont go as planned, and soon they are way off track when two good looking young fugitives take cover in their trailer and somehow convince the girls to help them escape the federal agents chasing them. It's stranger-danger and a game of truth and lies as Julie and Lindsay try to discover who's right or wrong and who to trust.
Instead of this series starting with a name, it started as a setting. I thought it would be cool to see two girls solving mysteries as they traveled the country, getting to see real places, and maybe sneak a couple history lessons in, and somehow that concept wound up involving spies. This series is going to take a lot of research, but im really excited to write it. If you like spy novels with a little bit of romance and a whole lot of intrigue, then Cross-Country Cases has got it. (Or at least it will, once i write it. Dont mind the nervous laughter 😅).
Davy Jones: Codebreaker
(Unfortunately i dont have much of a blurb for this series, since it's one of my least developed).
Davy Jones loves puzzles, and is incredibly good at solving them too.
So he is excited when the rich inhabitant of a mysterious mansion asks for his help solving an intricate cipher puzzle.
Another one of my series that started as a name, (so in case you were wondering, yes, I named him Davy Jones on purpose.) I've always loved puzzles, codes, and ciphers, even if I rarely get the chance to solve them. (My dad used to even ask for my help when he couldn't figure out a puzzle while playing Uncharted video games, and i would solve it for him. 😎) Unfortunately, I still have yet to solve a Rubik's cube because I just dont have the patience. 😭😂 I also love to have themed detective series for some reason, and one revolving around all kinds of puzzles sounded super cool to me.
Gio Vittore Mysteries
History lover Gio Vittore is offered the chance of a lifetime when a wealthy recluse recruits him to help find a lost treasure.
This is the same mysterious rich guy mentioned above, in my Davy Jones blurb, and these two series are closely connected. I plan for this one to have big National Treasure and Indiana Jones vibes.
Harper and Connors Mysteries
Audrey Connors never expected to get a new best friend and a mystery to solve all in one summer, but when a thirty year old legend seemingly comes to life and begins terrorizing people, Audrey and her new friend Danielle Harper can't help but get to the bottom of it. Soon the two of them are knee deep in a world full of mysteries waiting to be solved.
So……..this series started out as a sort of Trixie Belden rip-off. 😅 It was one of my first series, and is probably about seven years old. Trixie Belden was my favorite series as a kid, and Juliette and I wanted there to be more of the series, so instead of writing fanfiction, (i used to be 100% against fanfiction because I was under the impression it was all cringey and used to fulfill fans crazy, (often times dumb), or creepy fantasies 🫣😬) we created our own. Audrey and Danielle were basically Trixie and Honey, and we had characters to stand in for the rest of their friends too. (We even had a Trixie Belden/Harper and Connors crossover planned.) As time went on though, I wanted to steer it away from that and make it more original. (Especially since I now write Trixie Belden fanfiction 🤣).
Now, other than maybe having the same fun vibes as Trixie Belden, Harper and Connors is its own world, the characters have their own personalities, and there will even be a next-gen spin-off about their kids. (I cant help myself, ok? 😆).
Smith and Weston Mysteries
After the death of her mother, Casey Smith moves in with her Aunt and Uncle at their B&B, located on picturesque Eastlight Island off the coast of Maine.
She prefers to be alone as she tries to process her grief, but her Aunt is afraid that Casey is becoming too closed off, so she urges her to get out and make some friends.
She meets the energetic sibling duo, Ezra and Hazel Weston, and hanging out with them helps her realize there is still good in life. But soon the three of them are caught up in a mystery that could mean the end of her Aunt and Uncle's B&B.
Im so excited for this one! Its got all the summer vibes, awesome friend groups, and character cameos from my other series.
Oliver Cash Mysteries
After his father loses most of their money gambling and walks out on them, Oliver Cash and his mother take what little they have left and move to small town in upstate Pennsylvania to rebuild their life. Oliver accepts a job at the local grocery so he can support himself and his mother and soon hears rumors about a ‘ghost girl’ around town and starts to investigate.
Oliver is another one of my favorite characters. Maybe in part because he works retail, like me. 😂 Also, the setting is so cozy to me. This is my Fall mystery series, and because of the small town setting, its like Stars Hollow, but if Rory and Lorelai solved mysteries. 🤭
The Stanford Girls
The Stanford family is moving up in life! Mr. Stanford has a fancy new position in the company he works for, the family is moving to the big city, and Juliette, Sadie, and Grace are being sent off to boarding school. It is not how they hoped to spend the first few months of their new lives, and they are unsure of things. But when they end up in the accidentally detached luggage car of the train and barely make it out of the crash, they find themselves lost in the middle of nowhere with no idea where to go.
To make matters worse, a group of frightening men seem to think the girls have something they want, and will stop at nothing to get it. Will the girls be able to make it home safely?
First of all, I'm in love with the collage for this one, it turned out beautifully. 🥰
This was another ‘knock-off’ series, having started out as my own version of The Boxcar Children, of all things! It was originally called The Applewood Children and was actually created with the help of my siblings. They were characters we would play outside, and took shelter in a barn instead of a Boxcar. But inspiration struck and I slowly began making changes until it was its own original story.
Evernorth Lodge Mysteries
Troublesome cousins Scott and Conner Carr have caused one too many problems for their parents this summer, so they are sent to their grandparents lodge in Vermont to stay out of trouble. But it turns out there's quite a bit of trouble when there's thieves on the mountain, willing to do almost anything to keep from being discovered. And trouble is one thing Scott and Conner know exactly how to get into. Will they be able to bring the thieves to justice?
Not much to say here, except for its my winter themed mystery series, with lots of snowy shenanigans and outdoor adventures. 😉
Mercedes Mercer Mysteries
Mercedes ‘Mercy’ Mercer is the daughter of a mechanic/retired racecar driver. Could you tell? She's also an aspiring journalist with a love for the truth and a nose for trouble, so when someone starts threatening her father's business, she vows to get to the bottom of it.
My most recent addition to the collection, literally only a week old. 😆 Once again, this started out as a cool name and some vague vibes, (i literally get ideas from the randomest things) then Mercy took the wheel, and its quickly growing.
Trixie Belden Mysteries
Join Trixie Belden and her friends as they solve mysteries, bring crooks to justice, grow up, and find love.
As I mentioned before, Trixie Belden was my favorite series growing up, and as I got more and more ideas for further mysteries they could solve, I just couldn't resist writing my own. And of course i wanted to see the Bob-Whites growing up, maybe getting married, fulfilling their dreams.
So, now you have been introduced to most of my mystery series. I hope to continue writing (and begin some of them) this year, so i can share them all with you!
Most of these take place in the same world, so you may see the character popping up in each other's series now and then! 😉 Harper & Connors, Trixie Belden, and the Carters all take place in their own respective worlds, but Faith Stone, Cross-Country Cases, Davy Jones, Gio Vittore, Smith & Weston, Oliver Cash, Evernorth Lodge, Mercedes Mercer, and The Stanford Girls all take place in the same world. Im so excited to start writing them all!
If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

I am going to have such a great time reading all of your mysteries!
I am HERE for all the mysteries!!!
